We are pleased to announce another offering of our Remote Data Acquisition (RDA) Sensor Training Workshop, hosted by the University of New Mexico Sevilleta Field Station in central New Mexico. This intensive training workshop will be held 14-20 June 2015. The workshop will consist of a combination of field demonstrations, lectures, hands-on activities, and discussions focusing on three general topics related to the remote acquisition and transmission of environmental sensor data:
- Basic electronics
- Photovoltaic power for instrumentation
- TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi telemetry systems
- Sensor theory and Campbell Scientific datalogger wiring and programming
The number of attendees we will be able to accommodate is limited. Preference will be given to technicians, graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and early career faculty who demonstrate research needs in one or more of these areas.
